36 smart choices for better welfare
The Værnes and Kongsberg regions have signed agreements with Tellu, Atea and Hepro for the delivery and roll-out of modern welfare technology. Over the next four years, 36 municipalities and 250,000 inhabitants will gain access to a more seamless welfare service.
Health and welfare are among the most important tasks a municipality must handle, and the new agreement is therefore based on a long mapping, planning and procurement process.
Tellu, Atea and Hepro have been selected as suppliers of various types of welfare technology based on current and upcoming projects in the region, and the total value of the framework agreement is between NOK 5 and 30 million per year. The 36 municipalities in the Værnes and Kongsberg region are home to around a quarter of a million people, who over the next four years will gain access to industry-leading digital solutions specially developed for end-users, healthcare staff and expansion of the overall service offering.
High demands met with joy
The agreement has been the subject of an extensive procurement process, where the requirements for quality, functionality, innovation and collaboration have been extensive. Not least, there have been strict requirements for privacy protection and flexibility.
- It is gratifying to see that the extensive work we have put into making our solutions easy to understand, use and like is producing results. The Værnes and Kongsberg region has made a forward-looking and solid choice by selecting Tellu, Atea and Hepro as suppliers of citizen solutions and services, and we look forward to giving the entire region the welfare boost it deserves," says Tellu's CEO, Ståle Moe, in a comment.
- "When it comes to flexibility, it is important to emphasize that the use of technology to improve welfare services is a means to better services, not an end in itself. We will continually develop and improve the solutions we offer during the contract period, not only to meet ongoing needs, but to provide municipalities with a foundation on which to build," Moe adds.
After the initial four-year period, the region has the option of annual extensions.
At home and centrally
The agreement covers systems for digital supervision, digital home visits and user-related equipment for installation at home, such as video solutions and sensors.
Tellu's solutions for such products and services - including TelluVision and TelluVisit - are already recognized in both Norway and abroad, and together with Atea and Hepro's solutions, the Værnes and Kongsberg region will have access to a good and wide range of solutions for different types of projects and needs - and which can be easily scaled as needed across the entire region.
The aim of the agreement is to provide increased security and everyday life for people living at home and residents in institutions, better workflow for healthcare workers, better decision-making basis for medical managers and not least: better and correct prioritization of time spent on interpersonal care.
At the same time, it facilitates better and closer collaboration, exchange of experience and service development across municipal boundaries in the region. This will result in both professional and financial gains.
