TeamTellu: Meet Åshild Øvrebotten

In our interview series,TeamTellu, we provide a glimpse into the people behind the technology—what drives them, where they come from, and what they’re passionate about in the field of welfare technology.

This time, it’sthe turn of Åshild Øvrebotten . Åshild has had strong ties to Western Norway her entire life—she grew up in Naustdal and now lives in Bjørnafjorden. She is married, has three children, and is happiest with her knitting in her lap, a good book (preferably a mystery) within reach, or out hiking in the mountains. Her love of mysteries is so strong that she rarely reads anything else.

Åshild is a trained nurse and has 14 years of experience working in home health care. Since 2017, she has worked exclusively with welfare technology—first as a program manager at in Bjørnafjorden Municipality and later as a technical consultant at in Bergen Municipality. With advanced training in e-health, quality improvement, and implementation, she brings both deep subject matter expertise and solid practical experience to the role.

Today she works as a Customer Success Manager, and it is precisely her relationship with customers that motivates her the most:
“I’m motivated by the opportunity to build strong relationships and help customers get the most out of our solutions. It brings me great joy to accompany them throughout their journey, solve challenges together, and see that our efforts actually make a difference.”

She particularly thrives on the combination of structure, problem-solving, and close collaboration—both internally at Tellu and with customers. For Åshild, the very best part of her job is seeing customers succeed and knowing that she has contributed to that success.

When she looks at current developments in welfare technology, there are two areas in particular that she believes will be of great importance going forward:
Digital monitoring and digital home visits. Technology that enables safe and flexible follow-up—both for those living at home and in care facilities—regardless of where users are located. Digital home visits can replace some in-person visits, provide greater flexibility, help more people stay in their own homes longer, and at the same time enable healthcare professionals to effectively monitor more users.

“I believe this will have a major impact on how we organize and deliver care services in the years to come.”
